Johannes Ludvigsen
Hey!
My name is Johannes Ludvigsen, I am 16 years old and come from Norway. I live on an Island called Vega next to Brønnøysund. I live with my parents and have three other siblings that live away from home.
My favourite hobbies are Football and Powerlifting. This summer I went to a football cup in Sweden where we placed second which I consider a great achievement. I usually practise up to 4 times a week and I hope I can make it far in the football scene. Other than football I train Powerlifting 5 times a week. One of the reasons I do Powerlifting is that I enjoy exploring the capabilities of my body, but the main reason is that I want bigger muscles and become stronger.
I think sustainable development is a very important subject today and everyone needs to pay more attention to this topic. The planet is slowly getting destroyed and sustainable development has a crucial part to play in counteracting that process.
Sanna Bendiksen
Hi! My name is Sanna Bendiksen. I am 16 years old, and I live in a small city in Norway called Brønnøysund. I live with my parents and my three siblings. In my spare time I love hanging out with my friends and family. I do not really have a hobby, but I really enjoy going to the gym.
I live about 10 minutes away from my school, so sometimes my parents drive me there and sometimes I must walk. I have tried almost every sport in my city, but after a while I figured that would rather workout in the gym. Sometimes me and my friends use to work out together and I think it’s a good opportunity to hang out while we are doing something good.
I am kind of interested in the sustainable environment. I try my best to do things in my everyday life to help the environment like recycle, walking more than driving and collecting trash occasionally.
Sarah Wika
Hello, my name is Sarah Wika. I am a 16-year-old girl from Vega. I grew up on the beautiful island Vega with my family. Now I live in a dormitory in Brønnøysund because I go to high school here. Vega is a small island, just a boat trip away from Brønnøysund.
In my spare time I like to play football, much of my free time is spent practicing. football is such a social sport, and I can’t lie I personally love the feeling of winning a match. I also like to hang out with friends, listen to music and go on mountain hikes. If you come to the Brønnøysund area, you can be prepared to go on many beautiful mountain hikes, or just simply admire the view from the ground.
Sustainable development is the future. We should all make small changes to make a big difference. Personally, I try recycling my trash, turn off the lights every time I go out of a room and minimise my water use.
Watcharee Moe
Hello!
My name is Watcharee Moe, but since my name is too hard to pronounce for some people, I like to be called Sun. I am 15 years old, and I live in Brønnøysund.
My hobbies are handball and being at the gym. I also really like being with friends and family. My dad and mom are no longer together, so I move a little back and forth. I also like reading and listening to music. I really like reading romance and action. I have a very mixed music taste, I listen to almost everything, but there is some music I prefer more than other.
At the start of September, I’m going to be working at TD where I will be taking orders and serving ice cream and cleaning the tables.
I have a few eco-friendly habits like I recycle my empty bottles, and I sort my food and others in different trash bags.
Stella Elvira Hol Ellingsen
Hello, my name is Stella Elvira Hol Ellingsen and I am 16 years old.
In my spare time I like to be with my friends and family, be outside and do weightlifting.
I live in the centre of Brønnøysund, but it dosen`t feel like it because It’s very «peaceful». I live with my parents and Sara and Alma, which are my 2 cats. I also have 3 sisters and 1 half sister, but they are grown up.
Sustainable Development isnt`t something I know very much about, but I want to learn more about it. I for example like to shop used clothes, or «second hand» to be more eco friendly:P
Signar Bjørkan
Hi! My name is Signar, and I am 16 years old. I am now currently attending Brønnøysund public high school, where my subject is studies. I live in the center of Brønnøysund with my mom, and with my dad a bit outside of town, because my parents are divorced. My mom is a teacher, and my dad works at the registry. I have three siblings, one younger and two older. My hobbies are listening to music, playing handball, and working out at the gym.
Now more than ever, it is important to think about the nature around us. On average we pollute 67 tons of gasses each year. If we want to have an earth to live on then we need to do something, and fast. Some eco-friendly habits I have is to never throw garbage in the nature, and instead of driving to school I use my electric skateboard.
Maximilian Kean
Hello, my name is Max and I’m 15 years old and from Sømna. Sømna has a place called “Helvete” (literally translating to Hell), in school they often have field trips here which is why the kids here are probably the only people who can say they have been through hell and back.
My hobby is playing games, riding my motorbike (I do wheelies, as you can see in the picture) and I enjoy long walks on the beach.
I have a foster sister and lots of animals. If you enjoy rain and wind Sømna is the perfect place to be, we even have our own type of wind called “Østavind” there’s even a cheese named after it which can only be produced here.
My eco-friendly habits are recycling, and I walk a lot of places.
Maria Isabella Utvik
Hi! My name is Maria, and I’m 16 years old. Currently I’m a student at the public high school Brønnøysund VGS, and I’m attending my first year. I live in Brønnøysund at Salhus with my family. My family consists of my mother, my two younger siblings and my cat. My cat is named Leona, and she’s a maine coon.
I don’t have any special hobbies or such, so in my spare time I usually hangout with my friends or go on a walk. I also like to just chill and watch series or play The Sims.
I think sustainable development is an important theme that we need to take more serious and do something about. Me and my family have a few eco friendly habits. We try to not use our car as much, so I try to walk and bike more often. We also often use tote bags or reusable bags at the store instead of buying new plastic bags at the store every single time.
Maja Larsen
Hi! my name is Maja, I am 16 years old, and I live in Brønnøysund with both of my parents. My family consist of my mom, dad and my two big sisters. Both of my sisters have moved out, because they have graduated school and are now both adults.
In my spare time I like to be home and relax, I do not really have any hobbies except weightlifting and strength training, but I do like playing the piano and drawing occasionally. I like to be with my friends and family, watch a movie and eating snacks.
I have a few eco-friendly habits, I for example recycle and do not throw rubbish in the nature. I also pick up a plastic wrapper if I see it laying outside.
I do not have any jobs now, but I have worked at a restaurant during summer break. When I worked there, I was a server and I also worked sometimes in the kitchen. The restaurant’s name is “Svang” which basically means “hungry” in Norwegian.
Kristian Stueland Olsen
Hello, my name is Kristian Stueland Olsen. I live in Brønnøysund and I am 16 years old. I live with my mom, dad and little brother in an area called Salhus. Our house overlooks one of the fjords here. I like to play football, my favourite team Is Liverpool. I also much enjoy lifting weights and working out in general.
I chose to join the Nord plus project because I am worried about my own future. I am worried that the people that wont even be alive when consequences arrive, are steering the world off a cliff.
Therefore, I think young people need to engage themselves in projects like Nord plus, we need to show people that we care and that we need a change.
When you come to Brønnøysund, you should explore our beautiful scenery.
Jorne Joseph Heijnis
Hi, my name is Jorne, and I’m 16 years old. I live in an apartment in Brønnøysund, but my family lives in Vevelstad, which is a small commune just north of Brønnøysund. The population is a staggering 465 people, all of which are related somehow. It’s kind of a redneck town, but it’s home. Anyway, I was born in the Netherlands, which is where my family is from. So, I’m technically an immigrant.
In my spare time I like to play football; video games and I enjoy fixing and driving stuff with engines. I go to the local high school Brønnøysund Videregående Skole. There I am studying to become a pilot in the future. Back home I train a football team of 8th graders and I work at the museum.
In terms of eco-friendly habits, I sort my garbage and recycle aluminium cans, but I still eat meat. I do bike to school and take the bus home to Vevelstad, so I think I’m quite eco-friendly. I joined this project because I want to meet new people, and I have heard a lot about Iceland and Finland.
